Last night I changed passwords on two of my gmail accounts but I realized this morning I did nothing corresponding to these same accounts syncd with my Q10. I guess I forgot as the emails still keep coimng through to the phone! Does that make sense? Looking to edit the accounts on my BB I don't see where one enters the account password ..

I had done this and I see no field for "password" when doing an edit of the details of the email account.

(And so I dont understand why email still comes to the gmail accounts in question on my Q10 when the password was changed via a computer)

Cause it's still approved you might have to delete the account and set up with your new one

Do you have 2 step enabled? Device/app passwords are different.

Gmail actually loads different on the device so when you changed your password online it changes automatically on your device as when you set it up it directs you to google directly and you don't have to put your info in like a normal email acct.

I would have thought that a password change would be part of EDIT in an email account in OS10.

Well that explains what I am seeing.

(But isn't this a bit of a security problem ie phone stolen but even if one changes the password for one's gmail account via a computer the mail still flows to the compromised BB phone?)

Delete your cookies on your device, and then you will be prompted to enter new password. The same thing happened to me.

I did just that and no change ie not prompted for the new passwords and email continues to comes uninterrupted to my BB.

Delete your Gmail account on your device, and set it up again. Hopefully that will prompt you to enter the new password.

Try this: Log into Google. Click the drop-down next to email address in the upper-right, and click "Account". Click "Security", then "View All" under "Account Permissions". Find your Blackberry account, select it, and click "Revoke Access".

See if that gets BB to prompt you for the password.

That is an interesting way to do it. Thanks...I will try that.
