I'm about to upgrade from a feature phone and am strongly considering the z10 or z30. Verizon is currently giving away the z10 for $0.00 with a 2 year contract, and the z30 is $199 with a 2 year contract. I really wanted the z30 but am now undecided given that the z10 is free. Have Z30 owners found the larger form factor worth the cost? Do any Z10 owners out there regret that they didn't wait for the Z30? Any other factors that will justify the cost?

IMO the BB Z30 is the best unless you can't afford it, in which case go running and get DAT DAMN Z10!!!

Z10 is amazing value for money given the recent price drops. I have a Z10 using 10.2.1, and it's a fantastic overall experience. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it. The only frustration is the battery life; it'll get you through a day, but not much more. Good luck with your new phone purchase !

I have to carry 2 phones for work, so I have had 2 Z10's for about 7 months. I had absolutely NO problems with the Z10 and I absolutely love everything about it. BUT, now I have purchased a Z30 also, and it is amazing. It is so so fast, the glass is so smooth, it feels very sturdy in your hand, the miracast is simple to use, the speakers are incredible (beyond description, you have to hear it).. I could go on forever listing things but I won't. I am currently on hour 27 since my last charge, and I still have another hour or 2 before it dies. I LOVE my Z10 and will still be using it as my main work device (because it is smaller and I work out in difficult environments). But the Z30 is just wow, I love it.

It really comes down to personal preference. Are you OK with a smaller or bigger device? Are you OK with not having the extra features that the 30 has, to save some money with the 10? There are pros and cons to both devices so in the end it is what you prefer.

I always told myself I would never have a big phone, and I even laughed at my friends that had 5" screens. But now I officially consider myself a hypocrite, because I love this 5" Z30 screen. I love them both, but the 30 is more fun for a daily driver (for me).

In my personal opinion, I think z30 is definitely worth 200 with contract but you can't go wrong with z10. Welcome to bb10!

If you're shelling out money for a contract I'd grab the Z30 and make the signing worth it.

You can grab a Z10 for a comparable price off contract anyhow and sell your Z30 for a nifty profit if it's not to your liking.

They are both great devices but the Z30 just feels and looks amazing (personal opinion) and the screen real estate is..well lovely. But the Z10 is definitely great value and by no means "cheap."

The Z10 is a PHENOMENAL device....I would recommend it to ANYONE...and they keep getting better and better with software updates.....REAL solid updates.....seems like every update has brought something WORTHY to the table....unlike with iOS and Android here lately.....i mean...Android 4.4 KitKat...what did it bring to the table? An appetizing name? Just visual....but the difference in 10.2.0 and 10.2.1 on BB10....um, Picture unlocking & APK installs DIRECTLY ON TO THE DEVICE!! HUGE upgrades! What about iOS 7? Shortcuts to flashlight (which 10.2.1.1055 has), new UI....again, thats really it.....When it comes to iOS, i never cared to install new "leaks"....but when it comes to BB10, I actually look FORWARD to new leaks! Its fun to see what features actually are added rather than just visual changes......10.1 was pretty impressive to me....10.2 brought updated Android runtimes and now 10.2.1.1055 brings APK installs? WOW....I honestly can't imagine what 10.2.1 final release will have...or even 10.3...they seem to be pretty MAJOR releases.....

Better battery and antenna on the Z30. The backing is better than the Z10 although the Z10 is not bad either. If you prefer the larger screen than go for it. It has better speakers miracast, wifi direct and USB host.

Depending on your needs the Z10 is great too. Amazing for typing, communications and productivity. Screen quality is great.

Either way you can't go wrong with either. Good luck with your decision.

The z30 is a sweet looking phone, but the larger form factor, and few additional features were not worth the cost to me. Functionally, the z10 will be just as capable with future OS upgrades.

I can't believe how great this device is, yet it has virtually no credibility in the market. The sales staff at my local phone store are uneducated about the BB10 products and we're second guessing my decision to purchase the z10. They were also directing sales to iOS and Android without even proposing other alternatives. BlackBerry is losing the war in the trenches.
