I do a lot of technical typing (security/passcodes/hashes/etc.) and have found BB's lack of indication on the virtual keyboard as to upper/lower case quite annoying. Does anyone have any reason why the keyboard doesn't show the current case?

Which phone are you using? I find simply long pressing the upper case symbol / arrow on the virtual keyboard and having it highlighted is enough for me to know which case it is in.

OP seems to have a Z30, I have moved this to the BB 10 OS section instead of a leaked section.

Lack of indication? Are you serious?

There's a caps lock indicator on the top right corner of your device!

Edit: it just dawned on me; this may only be on PKB devices, correct me if I am wrong.

On VKB devices, there's an indicator along the bottom of the shift/caps button.

This has always annoyed me too.
On Android when you were lower case the letter say a shows a on the keyboard and when it's an A it shows an A. On BB you always see A no matter which case you type. It's a small thing and doesn't bug me as much anymore but seems like it would be easy to fix.

He means on Android the keyboard shows lower case keys if lower:
    qwertyuiop
    And caps when capitals:
    QWERTYUIOP

BlackBerry shows upper keys all the time.
You see QWERTYUIOP always whether it's typing lower or upper

We have a winner. I would like the keyboard to display the case.
