I use the native maps app for gps driving but I find it difficult to use since for some reason I cannot out it into landscape mode.

Is there a solution or do i have to wait for a software update.

It doesn't do landscape, I have no idea why, sure seems like the most obvious feature to have and really should be in all native BlackBerry apps

I have switched to using waze. It's incredible, and hives a lot more relevant info like traffic speed, slow downs, hiding cops etc. I also went to Google maps mobile and saved it to home screen and use it like an app which works well enough as well.

Wouldnt landscape limit how far in front you can see?

But no, there is no landscape for native maps at this point in time.

I have Google Maps bookmarked as well but thats for transit and walking so it works just fine for me.
