Recently it seems that my android apps are taking forever to open and they often freeze while in use.

I'd like to avoid restoring to a factory reset.

    I have about 2gb free.

    Any ideas?

You could try reloading the runtime bar, and if that doesn't work you could reload the OS. If you use a lot of Android, you would probably like one of the leaks as 10.3.xx has a superior Android runtime.

Where does one find the runtime.bar? Doesn't sound like something I'd find in BlackBerry world.

No you cannot find it on BBW. The only way to get it is to download the full OS, which you can find the link to on Thurask's thread on the Leaked OS section. Extract it w/ Darcy tool and install using same tool.

But easiest thing is to make sure you are not running a bunch of android apps at once, and may need to reboot often to clear memory cache if you play lots of games or run many apps.

Try using clean master via snap, cleans junk files, can move android apps from device to memory card and also has a boost feature

    Blackberry Passport running 10.3.1.1151

Ya tried it but didn't work. Even got the most recent update 2 days ago, installed and hard reset. Still nothing.

I think only a factory reset will fix it.
