I had just turned on my BlackBerry Z10 went on ign.com, viewed an article and then my BlackBerry just froze. I couldn't switch out of the browser app, I couldn't use the physical buttons. I took out the battery and put it back in to solve the problem, but I would like to know why this happened. Does anybody have any thoughts or suggestions on why this happened, and how to prevent it. By the way I don't watch porn on my phone.

Yeah, that [watching porn] is the cause of BlackBerry freezing mainly...

I wonder why this thread was not answered eternal 8 minutes, but the readers are just ROFL probably.

Seriously, you should start worrying only if this happens regularly. Was your device overheating maybe?

Back in the early days my Z10 froze once before too, forget what i was doing though...

But i had explained it a while ago in a QNX thread i think, but the way QNX runs it wasn't necessarily your operating system that froze (stuck in an endless loop) but the UI thread had "froze" thus rendering the screen "stuck" but everything else running smoothly other than the screen

All i can say is get on the latest OS if you're not already and hope for the best... I've only ever had one freeze up ever on a BB10 device and I've used every device launched to date since the very beginning

Look at your ram memory, if it's low then that will cause your phone to freeze up usually.

Dirty screens with skin oils will freeze your screen. Use a good cleaner. I use Zagg Gadget Cleaner on mine. I have very oily skin and freeze mine pretty often. At least twice/month if I don't clean it once a day. If I remember to clean it...it NEVER freezes.
