Is there a way to manage a group text the way you would an individual contact?

I have a family member who will send texts to the whole family at odd hours. I can individually mute notifications from her, but if everyone starts replying, I'd like to be able to mute the whole group.

Thanks for both suggestions.
Aero, this is for normal group texts. Unfortunately, nobody I know uses BBM.

With respect to using bedside mode, that's certainly an interim option. I really want to be able to mute all of the group discussions, though. Even during the day they can be distracting, but I want to be notified of normal texts, so I don't want to silence all text messages.

Not sure you can. There is no setting specifically for group text or mms messages. I sometimes have this annoying rapid-fire group text issue and I will just temporarily silence all texts. Not ideal, but it prevents the annoying 15-30 minutes of constant text notifications.

Eh I just put mine on phone calls only and just check my phone every so often. When I'm in a conversation via email, BBM, etc I just check it every couple mins.

Hopefully they will implement this feature soon

There is only option to hide messages & pictures from showing up in the hub.

I just downloaded an OS update. To my knowledge it didn't fix this issue.
Can anyone from BlackBerry comment on whether a fix is in the works?
