I'm constantly sending half-complete messages because I inadvertently brush the "send" key instead of the backspace or period key that I intended to hit.

A .75 or 1 second "press and hold send" requirement would make it virtually impossible to send the message too soon and would add nearly no additional time to composing a message.

Thoughts?

As longs as it is an OPTION then I don't see a problem. IT may not work for everyone if it is forced.

BlackBerry just need to move the send button to same position as the send button is when writing emails...

What would the potential drawbacks of this feature be? Wouldn't have to be a long press, just something a little longer than the brief brush that's required now to activate the button.
