Now why would anyone need that????? I've been reading and hearing the Z30 is the pb replacement. So if it replaces the pb (I never thought it was a replacement) why would anyone touch their old pb???????

Yeah, "full bridge" is not quite right. We only get BBM. No Bridge calendar, mail, tasks, notes, or contacts like on BBOS. Sucks.

correct me unless I'm wrong but Blackberry have yet to say if the Playbook is discontinued haven't they? They only said it won't get BB10.

Or how about losing all the bridge functionality in the first place?

Had I known that prior to getting my z10 I may have gone a different route.

Agreed, they lied about bb10 on playbook and now no usb on z10 plus no headless apps. BBM on playbook doesn't really cut it after so many broken promises.
