    While browsing what was active using the Blackberry virtual expert I noticed something on listed as "Media player" although nothing was open on my phone, at least not in terms of apps. What could this be refering to?

    Could be anything that requires the media player module to be used.

    Videos, camera, music, etc. Best thing to do is to restart your phone and launch BVE again.
