Are there additional options added to 10.3.1 for arranging media? For instance in the 'albums' tab for pictures I would like an option to display the newest first as currently on 10.2.1 it displays the oldest first. This is annoying because the 'recent' and 'date' tabs show newest first! Seems a bit inconsistent to me

In my albums, although I cannot specify, all the newest are first

In the pictures app, swipe down from the top to reveal settings.
Click it and you will see "Sort Items in Albums" option.
There, you can set to sort you pictures from newest to oldest or oldest to newest.

There is no settings menu in my picture app. I already tried this. When I do it the only option is help. My OS is as per my signature below. Are you running 10.3 / 10.3.1 by any chance? This might explain it!

You don't have these icons on the current 10.3.1 leak ?



And I must add that the Album view (3rd icon) doesn't sort the pictures in an album (10.2.1.3442). Only the previous icons enable that.

Thanks shorski, that explains it. It's obviously a 10.3 tweak they made. Good to know i'll get it eventually at least.
