Hi, today i played around the settings for my lock screen and i dont quite understand what Lock Screen Notification does. Either ON or OFF i can still see the alarm, messages, facebook and other icons with their corresponding unread msgs. What does it really do anyway?

Though i can see Instant Preview turning on and off with its effects, i dont understand why its a setting outside the Lock Screen Notification when it is dependent to the Lock Screen Notification setting. It is rather misleading when Instant Preview and ON and under the display setting Lock Screen Notification is OFF.

Suppress Instant Preview is set within the same setting screen with Lock Screen Notification but also doesn't grey out or get disabled with Lock Screen Notification is OFF.

Lockscreen notifications are the ones where you tap the apps icon on the lockscreen, and you are able to read the first few lines from the message.
Instant previews are popups that appear on top of the screen whenever you receive a message and are actively using the phone, with a little preview of the message, and reply/dismiss buttons. Two different things.

Glad you got it. But TBH, they've never done a good job explaining the phones features.

The Help Channel is nice... subscribed now.

Although I had been noticing this one for quite some time, havent really look into it until these past days.

Why is it that when my phone is in sleep mode (ON but screen is black) and an email/sms/whatsapp/bbm/etc comes in, sometimes the BB lights up sometimes not. When it lights up, it puts me in lock screen. I can continue to receive both audio and LED notification in either state.

Any specific setting to allow user to have it goes into lock mode or just remain black?

I just found today that you can open a message from the lock screen. Just tap the message twice. Works for BBM and texts. I'm running leaked 1925.
