Let's Rock and Roll This!
Wow. So many posts with so many excellent announcements today. I'm increasingly optimistic that BB10 will be able to replace my BB7 device right out of the gates. Mr. Heins is proving him self and the executioner that RIM has been looking for. The project is huge but I believe that they are working very fast toward delivering incredible innovations.
List your top 3 recent developments.
1. Peek
2. Camera
3. BB Gateway receiverLast edited by Just Me; 05-02-2012 at 11:26 PM.

I haven't had chance to check everything out yet, but the camera function and keyboard functionality BLEW me away. It's exactly the kind of attention to detail that's going to get this company back in the race with a fighting chance. Can't wait to see some great TV ads showing off the camera features when this phone comes out!

Agreed. RIM doesn't need to re-invent the wheel but they do need to come out new/innovative features like the camera one. That one was really neat.
BGR in one of his post said that a phone won't sell because of new features and i disagree. The EVO is the perfect example. Because of its new features at the time the phone sold very well, it wasn't necessarily because it just had android on it. - 05-02-2012, 02:06 PM #4
He did a great job with the keynote. I was impressed and am excited. Most looking forward to the new keyboard, the peek views and the camera. We only small a few things though and I'd love to get more sneak peeks?!
Mr Heins seems to be doing a great job getting RIM refocused and back on track. Very cool he talked with Kevin too. - 05-02-2012, 02:10 PM #5

I hope they keep to their timetable. I'm not sure they have to beat Apple out because they are targeting a different market slightly.
I think those that were long time BlackBerry fans will be happy to return to BlackBerry at it's finest once it's released.
He kept saying later this year so it's what 6 months at the most?
I think they need to get the product finished and bug free and delievry as quickly as possible within those two.
Once BlackBerry 10 is out and it is seen as a great device, people will come to it. - 05-02-2012, 10:48 PM

At this point all other phones and releases are irrelevant to RIM future success. Execution on the BB experience is key and that is something they can control 100%. Bugs are still worrying, but the team producing BBOS10 is more aware of that than I ever could be. PBOS1 and PBOS2 reflected the feel and introduced the functionality of QNX but had limited amounts of the ergonomics and efficiencies BlackBerry users are used to. BBOS10 is showing signs of maturation and convergence from both platforms. That is what we have to look forward to, I'm excited.
