    For example is there os optimized for their network for better battery life etc.

    Any leak may become an official on some carrier so I don't think there are differences if it's the same build number.

    While the numbers may match there is always a chance the official has bug fixes the leak doesn't.

    Whenever you're faced with a leak vs official for the same OS version, go official.

    the official is supposed to be bugs free, there's always a chance the leaked version is not.

    If the version is the same, then no. UK/Canada carriers all seem to be pushing out 10.2.0.1791, for instance, but anyone who installed the leaked 10.2.0.1791 has exactly the same files that the carriers are pushing out, just a couple weeks beforehand.
