I'm having the "no applications to manage" crap in the Permissions Settings and read that with later OS' that's no longer the case. So, I have a T-Mobile Z10, what's the best later 10.2.1 version for my phone? I want everything running and working perfectly, no issues. This is my current software.

    Hello?

Oh, and I didn't remember 10.2.2 was out already. Anyway, which OS should I put on it? Someone please help. Not being able to edit permissions is *** to me.

Reading through the forum, I've noticed that 10.2.1.3337 is more stable than 10.2.2.xxx. You may want to read through the forum yourself and direct your questions to the folks that had issues with 10.2.2

Thanks! You made notice my signature. I had the software release instead of the OS version!

    Here you go: http://forums.crackberry.com/showthread.php?t=955086

Go to post 48, the one thurask made with the various autoloaders. Choose the correct one for your Z10 model and download. If you're not sure which model you have go to Settings and scroll down to About. You'll see your model number listed there.

Then boot up BlackBerry Link and BACKUP your phone. Don't run the autoloader until you've done this. Once that's done run the autoloader. It will put the new OS on your phone.

Finally run BlackBerry Link again and restore your data. You'll be good to go. Any questions just ask.

Backing up now and downloading the correct autoloader.

Quick question, how do I put the new OS to my phone and all that jazz? Pretty much, what are the steps after backing up and downloading the correct OS?

You'll need to unpack the autoloader as it downloads compressed. Connect your phone to your computer via USB. Make sure the computer sees the connection (depending on your PC you should have no problem knowing that it did). Once connected just double click the unpacked autoloader and it will do the rest.

Shouldn't take too long, about 10-15 minutes I would say. You'll know it's finished because the screen where you saw all the activity will close automatically. If your phone is password locked you'll be prompted to put in the password before it loads the new OS.

Good luck and just holler with any other questions. Once you get used to doing it you'll see its fairly easy.

Big files are usually compressed for up and downloading. To extract the file download WinRAR or 7Zip. It'll ask you where to unpack it to on your computer. Put it on the desktop. It'll show up in a folder. Open that folder, click on the file and watch it do its magic. Again, make sure you're connected to the computer before clicking on the autoloader.
