I thought I read somewhere that z10's last planned os is 10.3.1. Is it true? Is the z30 going to end at the same time?

I've no doubt you read it "somewhere". This is the Internet after all. As far as true, who knows. Until BlackBerry makes an announcement it is unlikely anyone, other than a few insiders will know for sure.

Q5, Q10, Z10, and Z30 are being offered at bargain prices. Q5, Q10, and Z10 might be discontinued in the very near future . . . Z30 might survive until another all-touch device is introduced, I suppose.

And how does it answer OPs question? Even if Z10 will be discontinued, OS support may be still on and as long as hardware will cope with future updates I see no reason why BlackBerry wouldn't update it...

I would agree . . . I hope that BlackBerry Limited will kindly support Z10 and the other devices as long as possible.
