If you don't already do it, I recommend clearing out your hub every once in a while (i noticed mine had built up over a thousand messages)

Mine was starting to get a bit laggy when opening the text inbox etc, the easiest way to do this if you don't already know is to open the hub, hold your finger on a date and press the 'Delete prior' function, erasing any messages before the date you have selected

This seemed to improve the hub, text, email etc browsing speeds/loading time by a considerable amount

May seem obvious, but I bet 90% of people don't really do this.

Seems kind of ridiculous that in bb7 we could have thousands of messages with no noticeable lag and now, with an updated device, we get laggy around 1000.

It's a modern device handling alot more then the java bbos did, the hardware difference for the os's alone should speak for that.

Lag: that's the beauty of sync'd mailboxes.

And this is the reason BlackBerry didn't initially include a "forever" sync option

How do you count the messages?

I don't seem to have problems with Hub

Does the "Delete Prior" function delete from the "PC" mailbox as well? Now that we don't have the Delete on Handheld vs Delete on Mailbox option, does "Delete Prior" still work the same way as it did on the old BBOS (deletes from phone only)?

    Thanks

I don't have a lag but I hate that when I deleted from the hub it deletes it all together. I am in a few bbm groups for work and removed myself from them by deleting via hub. I should be able to clean out the hub without perm losing the message.
