    Hey there guys,

    I am having a little issue at the moment. Here is what's going on...

    I had my hotmail account connected to my Q10 working perfectly. Today, I decided to connect my hotmail account to Outlook 2010 due to a new job that I got. After installing a Hotmail connector to Outlook 2010 so I can get automatic emails via Outlook 2010 without hiting the Send/Receive button, the email on my BlackBerry stopped working.

    I sent a couple of emails to make sure that it was a real issue and maybe not just a typo on the email address. As a result, I got the email on Outlook 2010, but not on my BlackBerry. I deleted the email account from my BlackBerry and now, I get the following error every time I try to add my hotmail account to the Hub. (Please see picture below)

    Thank you, but I don't have the "Exchange ActiveSync" option in Outlook 2010.

    I already deleted the email account from Outlook 2010 as well as the connector, but I am still unable to add the email to my BlackBerry.

    You may reset your Q10 by holding the top button until the loading screen appears and set up the account again?

    I tried to add a different hotmail account and it didn't work either. However, I was able to add a gmail account with no issues.

    Check the status through Live status. Sometimes its a problem on Microsoft's end.

    I recommend you check and make sure you clear out your old mobile devices from your account. While I am not suggesting you set up logging, these steps should get you to the screen where you can remove your old devices:

    I recommend you remove all of your mobile devices and try to set up a new connection from your BlackBerry device.

    Thank you guys for your help. I was able to resolve the issue, however, none of the suggestions mentioned above worked.

    Here is what I did to resolve just in case anyone in the future gets a similar error.

    After getting the error, I selected "Advanced Setting" within the email set up app. In "Advanced Setting" you'll have the option to select several email providers, in my case, Outlook.com since I'm using a hotmail account. I just entered a description and a display name because everything else was already filled in, hit done and it was all good to go.

    I think that is pure coincidence. Outlook password entry today came back with weird error. I just waited 10 seconds and submitted again and worked. I'm getting more upset with Microsoft every day.

    Is it a Microsoft issue or a BlackBerry issue? It could be a BlackBerry coding issue, so I wouldn't necessarily blame Microsoft. I'm just saying... ;-)
