    Hi all,

I have a T-Mobile Q10, updated with 10.2.1. I do not have any BES set up. I am having an issue that I hope the pros here can help me with.

My company has an office phone system, on which I have an extension. I get the voicemails from my extension on that office system, sent to my email. On the bottom of these emails, there is a string of numbers that the system autopopulates, which looks like this: 13126731234,0000#,13126085678#

    This string consists essentially of:
    - the number to dial into the office phone system with (13126731234)
    -a pause (,)
-the pin to access the office phone system (0000#)
    - another pause (,)
    - and then the number that the voicemail is from (13126085678#)

The point of this is to allow one to just click on this long string of numbers, and it will call the person who left you the message through the office phone system so that my office phone number will show up on the caller id of the person I am calling.

Sounds complicated, I know, but it is really quite simple.

Now, my Q10 does not recognize the WHOLE string of numbers as one string to dial, but rather breaks up the 1234 number as one hyper link, and the 5678 number as another hyperlink. Everything else does not turn into a link.

BUT, if the voicemail is left by someone ELSE in my company, who is calling from just a 5 digit extension number, it WILL recognize it as one string of numbers and dial the whole sequence as it should!!
That string of numbers looks like this: 13126731234,0000#,11009# (where 11009# is the extension).

So basically, I can only dial through my office from my Q10 if the voicemail came from within the company, from an extension. But I cannot dial to anyone that calls from anything other than an extension.

I tried going into smart dialing and putting the "national number length" to the max, which is 32, but that has not helped.

Any ideas or work-arounds would be greatly appreciated, as this is crippling my productivity!!

    Thank you!

Try inserting the letter "P" instead of the comma. Also, try adding "tel:" to the beginning of the string.

    Example "tel:13126731234P0000#P13126085678#"

Just tried. Didn't work. Thanks for the attempt!

Weird. I sent a test e-mail to myself to see if it would work, and it does. Running 10.2.1.2122

Try and check to see if you have any spaces in the number string.

Also try long pressing the number to highlight the entire string then dial.

Wow, your phone shows it flawlessly. There are no spaces or anything... Should I try reloading OS? Or could it be a version thing?

I really don't know. You could try a security wipe and then see what happens. That takes a while, so maybe do some more troubleshooting first. Also be sure to back up on link first. So you can re load your settings.

I would say try loading 10.2.1.2228 and see if that makes any difference.

I have this same issue with the dialing strings no longer working as they once were in my Z10.
I tested with all of the suggestions with " tel: and 'P' and they had no effect...
What I did find was that the latest OS fixed it when running with a 4G connection.
However it is broken when using local WiFi..

I assume there will be a fix in the next OS.
    I am on 10.2.1.2156

Now that BlackBerry LINK is more stable, I am very happy with my new OS, especially the new HUB features....
