iCloud App or similar for BB10?
Owning several BB's since the onset of the pearl right up to the BBB 9900, there has always been one thing that bugged me. Being a student, I actually used the camera fairly regularly. I always found that after using it, I would have to go through a slightly laborious process of ensuring that all photos were backed up in case my micro-SD card failed or I lost my phone. Either way, the tedious process of constantly copying and pasting my photos to my laptop has started to bug me. Since I want to upgrade to the BB Q10, does anybody know whether there is something similar to the iCloud system for the BB 10 OS. I've never owned an iPhone, way too loyal to the BB brand, but I'm always jealous that once my friends take photos after an event or something and subsequently lose their phone, they just open up there mac and have a copy saved thanks to the iCloud synching system. I know dropbox is one way of doing this, i've been doing it, but still it's a rather manual process of uploading the photos. Apologies if this is in the wrong thread area.

Sign up for BOX and check off the two options to upload videos and pictures. Then every time you take a picture it is save on your device and on the Box cloud site.
Works great!!!

Box is great! If you don't need it right away hold up because they do promos often. I got 25 free when I signed up. PLUS they tack on 10 for bb10. If you need it now you get 10 gigs for bb10. If not just keep an eye open. They had 15 free last week but it's over now.

BlackBerry Link does that automatically as soon as you're near your computer and on the same wifi network.

Dropbox is great I have used it for heats now but had to switch to Box in order to get my pictures and videos to sync as soon as intake them. We have a 9 month old and the grand parents live ti see pictures all the time. We had ventures away to Iphone Girvan few months band in had set up I cloud and all their computers and they got spoiled to that. Then whe we realism what mistake we made, neither of is liked IOS for the productivity and messaging, we switched to the Note 2 and we're able to use Dropbox for the same thing as icloud...worked great. Again the Android OS did not have great messaging and productivity options so we switched to the Z10 on February 5 and are in heaven being able to be extreme productive and have a unifies inbox again but no Dropbox pictures and videos upload support so we switched to box.
Life is good again lol!!!
Hope Dropbox incorporates this feature soon though

Try PlayCloud App(free app) from BlackBerry World. If you use one of the following
1. Box
2 Dropbox
3 Google Drive
4 Skydrive
5 SugarSync
6 OpenDataSpace
7 WebDav
8 Ftp(ssl/sftp)
When in the app swipe down from the top. Go to accounts and select one of these services. And follow the prompts. You will be able to easily sync your photos documents etc. - 02-17-2013, 08:30 AM #14www.blackberryphoto.com coming soon

I got box with 25gb last week.. Google that offer, you might find the link.. don't sign up through the regular site, find the link for the 25gb and sign up after going there. The link was https://www.box.com/signup/o/25gigsforgameday not sure if it still works.
But you can always get tons of storage on special promotions.
Plus when you download the app, it gives you the option to automatically upload pictures and videos to box when you take them with the phone
It's all integrated with z10's file manager

Go to box.com and see if you have a Blackberry folder there.. that's where all the files are synced to. If not, the app probably didn't install properly.
You could always un install and reinstall the app if anything

Nope! That's the beauty with bb10, it's integrated with the file manager and syncs in the background as soon as you take the picture. You never have to open the box app itself only to login the first time and set the settings. After that, you access the files and everything through the file manager

Is that the same with BB OS7.1? Or is it similar to dropbox that once you take the photo you must manually move the photo to the dropbox folder?

im not quite sure my drop box is working correctly. My pictures arent syncing and there is no Blackberry folder in my drop box either. Is it only new pictures that will sync or all the ones on my phone? Also i dont see this option that you guys mentioned "sync video and pictures"
