im was having battery problems with z10 stl 2 .. i fixed the problem the battery draining by reloading a new os using bb link before i reloaded the os i backed up my files ... i have 5 backups i cant restore any thing did a full swipe this is unacceptable my blackberry i didnt go wrong on anything ..... please need a solution and fast i have alot of number that i use for work and urgentlyyyyy

Try to restore one thing at a time. Do not restore settings. Media and app data may work

What OS version did you have in the Z10 when you did the backup? What OS did you "reload" onto it?

If the differences are too great (10.0 vs 10.1 vs 10.2) then the backups don't work. You need to load a similar version to what was on the phone when you made the backup files, restore, then you can try updating the phone (doesn't erase your settings, accounts, etc).

Otherwise you may need to uninstall link (Google "clean uninstall of BlackBerry link"), reboot PC, reinstall link. Just make sure you make copies of your back up files in another folder.

Lastly, you can try restoring with Sachesi (there is a sticky thread at the top of the "OS" sub forum). Sometimes they works when link doesn't.

Did you load an older OS? If so I don't think backups from a newer OS will restore on an older OS. At least I've read that several times. Not sure if it has changed or not.

Use sachesi to perform the restore

Full restores were a hit and miss for me. Restoring in parts has never failed me yet.

Back up was on 10.2.1.2102 and restore was on I solved a problem that it said it isnt connected... now I have another problem after I searched on an update for BlackBerry link that 1.2.3 I was on 1.2.2 after thiis update that error went a way a new error came that the opertion was cancelled and files werent restored.. and I didnt do anything I figured out after reading blackberry's. Pdf review on the known issues of BlackBerry link and that are the issues and need to wait for another BlackBerry link update until they fix the issue I tried using Sachiese to restore but it said back up couldnt be read... I have over 60 backups none are working? its impossible.. any other program to atleast extract files? Needd URGENT

I usually have better luck if I set my phone in airplane mode and don't touch it while it's trying to restore. Maybe just voodoo but... at this point I'm sure you'll gladly do a rain dance if it increases your chance of success.

I did try what u said and it didnt work found out that there is an issue with blackberry link wass reading there document about BlackBerry link
