WAY TOO MUCH! Especially people on my favorites, whom are in a different time zone!!!

Root cause: When a call ends, BBRY sends my device back to the phone app (horrible design) and then I touch the screen by mistake.

    Please fix this!

Close phone app after a call. Press power button to lock screen before pocketing. How difficult is that, really? If you have a password or picture password on top of that even better yet.

If you've owned as many devices as I have, including MANY smartphones over the last 10+ yrs, then this whole admonishment to "just do it right" is pretty condescending, given the fact that so many other devices don't seem to suffer from it.

If we were all just stupid, clumsy, sloppy dorks, we would be pocket-dialing on all those other devices. But we aren't, and we didn't.

seems to me that a lot of people that are having issues either press their phone way to hard against their faces when making calls OR wear super tight pants. but on a serious note it does suck having to close the call app after every use, maybe they should implement an option to select which apps close automatically...

My Z10 often dials on its own. If I leave the phone frame open, it is almost guaranteed. Other times I have watched it dial without me touching it. It is my main pet peeve with an otherwise great phone. Is any one aware of a fix for this ?

Have a simple password set and the screen lock to 30 seconds.

I think double-tap is an easy answer.

Owned the Z10 for a year. Not made a single accidental call.

I've accidentally opened the camera about 10 times. Opened Search maybe about 5 times.

Definitely one way to do it. Either that or my "long press" idea.

    Yes. That, too.

Lockscreen pswd works, I'm told, as well, but that's too many steps. No problems at all accidentally tapping any other icons -- just the those bottom dwellers.

Good point. I can't say I recall opening other apps by accident very much.

I accidentally dial when I'm checking visual voice-mail. It shouldn't dial the person when I click on an entry. It should play the voicemail!!!!

For those who seem mystified about how accidental calls are made and pictures taken .... When holding the z10 or z30 (i have both), one's thumb "Flange" (skin by base of thumb) can flatten out on screen and activate the call icon or camera icon .... way TOO easily. This two buttons, in lower left and right on phone, should be far Less sensitive or one should have the ability to Deactivate them.

Here's another thing I noticed yesterday.

On my Z10, when I try to swipe up to minimize the call app while on a call and go somewhere else (ie I'm on hold and need to check an address or something), when I swipe up, the "End call" button in the phone app often gets pressed, just from the up swipe action.

Perhaps they instituted a delay in that button while on a call because even though I see the button get highlighted (indicating it was activated), when this happened yesterday the call did not get terminated.
