Default How many people have used the HDMI out on BB10 devices?

How many people have even used the HDMI out on the BlackBerry 10 devices?

It pains me everytime I look at it, thinking it could have been used for something more...practical...maybe a dedicated shortcut hard button retaining the history of the past 10 years...

Or it could have been used for...?

Yep for videos. But it doesn't take the place of a shortcut key because the key would be on the other side of BlackBerry put one in. Doesn't make sense to put a key on the underside of a phone turned landscape!

Again, use it all the time, mainly for videos, but often pair a Wii remote to the phone and play old snes games. Can't beat them.

Use it all the time on my 50 inch TV to watch TV shows available on the web.

I use this $20 adapter and plug my BlackBerry into a standard HDMI cable.

I use mine quite frequently. Mostly for video, a few games. But, I also use it to show on-device documents at meetings.

It's used every night for videos and browsing on a 40" TV. If I didn't have a PlayBook, it would be used for presentations as well.

Just this weekend, I streamed a tv show from wifi, and watched on my tv with my phone. My Sky+ (kind of like a TiVo for US folks) box is on the fritz, and this meant that my better half and I didn't miss a show whilst I gamed on my laptop. I've done this in the past with my PB as well.

    Which makes this post:-

pointless. Sorry, poster, but this is just baseless gainsaying. It works, and if even one person uses it then by definition it's "not useless".

I've also played Angry Birds on my TV before, but that was solely because I could ;-)

I use mine for movies from BBWorld, Crackle, showing home videos, and games, yes games. You haven't played Real Racing 3 until you've played it on your big screen.

If you streamed a show on wifi, why did you use the HDMI Out port?

I have my media pc in the basement and I stream video over BlackBerry Link on WIFI while hooked up to HDMI in my living room. I also use it to display photos from my phone and pc on the TV when family is over.

I use mine as all others have already stated, and for presentation and instruction. I've even written some software I use with HDMI output for international purposes.

At least once a week, usually more I download tv episodes or movies from BlackBerry World and watch on my tv.

Sometimes I use Crackle. Sometimes Tablet TV, to catch up on shows I missed. Love the HDMI port.

Also great for hotels, if your tv supports playing stuff from your phone. Which I have found the LGs in the Marriott I stay in a lot do not.

I'm an audio-visual integrator so I use it when my playbook is not around to test the equipment at the end of an installation. No need to carry an HDMI pattern generator anymore
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure.

How would a shortcut hard button for 10 year of history be more useful? It's pretty cool that it.has.one

I use mine all the time to watch sports on the big screen. Just hook it up, go to the website, and it works great!

Me too. I love playing Real Racing 3 on my TV. It feels like I'm playing a console game.
