My local utility company now has a power outage map available for iOS, Android and Windows Phone, and Id like to load it on my 10.2.1 Z10. The flyer from the utility company suggests to get it from the App Store, Google Play or Windows Store. How to I D/L from Google Play w/o a Google ID?

Check out this thread about the app Snap. You have to sideload it initially, but then you can install apps directly from Google Play Store.

The OP clearly stated 'w/o Google ID'. So Snap is completely out of it, since it requires Google account. Usman's suggestion would be the way to go.

Easiest is 1mibile market. Just download 1mobile for BlackBerry , open the downloaded file and install. Then once it's installed you can setup according to your user preferences. When setup us complete just get whatever app you need from Google.
Snap may be best once installed but it is tedious to get installed because of the side loading process.

Definitely the best app out there. I'm using it too. It has pretty much everything and it's really easy to use too!

Thanks to all for the help! I was not clever or persistent enough to get through evozi, so then I tried loading Snap via Sachesi, and after several attempts, I go the connection to stay live long enough to load Snap, so I’m off to the races. I was able to load the Android local utility app, but did not have my account #, etc. but it launches! I then tried a GPS app called “mytracks” by Google, and it loaded, but alas needs “Google Play Services”, foiled again. But the good news is that thanks to the CB community, I can now load Android apps, instead of just wish I could. Many thanks to this supportive community!

Does this website still work? When I Google "apk downloader" it doesn't pop up anymore.

If you want, you can actually patch this app to work on your phone. Head on over into the android apk's forum and check out the thread titled "how to patch android apps which require google play services" (or something like that).

If you can Sideload snap, you can patch an app (that unintentionally rhymed! )
