I installed 10.3 on my Q5 to see if it resolved a few issues im having but it hasnt!

Is there any way to go back to 10.1? Then if that doesnt work i can just install 10.2 using just the normal update?

    Thanks.

Hook up to BlackBerry Link on your Internet connected pc and hit the "restore to factory settings" tab to get your BlackBerry reset to the latest official OS. Note you "may" loose all data stored on the phone so be sure to make a back-up prior.

Why don't you go straight back to 10.2?

    Use autoloader...

Something went wrong because 10.3 is not officially out yet so BlackBerry Link won't be able to connect your phone to the update server. I would attempt again or alternatively install an autoloader from legend's 10.2.1.3175 thread.

The first link is a non- destructive load. It's intended for side loading. Don't use that. Next few links are destructive, ie aotoloaders. Pick the one matching your phone. It will do a fresh install and destroy all data on your phone. It is an exe (executable file) meaning if you double click on the file after download, it will start to look for the phone. If you then connect your phone, it will do its thing. Remember to firstly close BlackBerry Link and all running programs, preferably also anti virus and remember it destroys everything on the flash drive of the phone. A prior back-up is recommended.

Edit: IE browser does not work. I use Chrome browser to download from Mega. Try installing Chrome browser and it will download. Also, it's 1am in South Africa so I'm not ignoring you, I'm just gonna get some shut eye for a few hours. Loads of other folk here that can assist I'm sure lol!

As has been said, try a 10.2.1.3175 autoloader for your device (Q10/Q5) to return to a normal OS. If you're having problems downloading, use a better browser (I use Opera, personally). Problems extracting means use 7-Zip.

Here is a list of download links to most of the autoloaders from 10.1.0.1485 up to 10.2.1.1927 (from the BlackBerry Dev website).
    https://developer.blackberry.com/dev...toloaders.html

Just scroll through the list to find your respective device model. If you don't know, type in "myver" (without quotations) on your device and hit enter. For example, mine shows up as Z10STL100-3/10.3.0296

Please note: the use of an autoloader is a destructive method; meaning it will essentially be the same as restoring to factory settings where you lose all your data and will have to start fresh.

Those are Dev OS autoloaders, though. Not quite usable as a day to day.

True...but i've used a couple of them before and they were fine. I'm not a dev either lol. If there are missing files or things that aren't working properly, i usually scour the forums for the bar files from other OS versions.; but i don't know how tech saavy OP is :/

You can also find the old 10.1 autoloaders lying around
I know the best were the 10.1MR. I do believe the newer 10.2/10.3 OS's add a blacklist to the older 10.0/10.1 OS's

Don't go back to 10.1 go straight to an 10.2.3175 autoloader! It's a huge improvement to 10.1

I believe its a compressed file. Google 7zip and download, install 7zip. Open your downloaded BB file with 7zip, extract to desktop and run the extracted file.
Edit: http://www.7-zip.org/download.html The 64 bit version for win8 I believe.
