This works every time for me and I am curious to see if it will work for others too.

I am on the latest 10.1 MR, but this has always worked for me.

Try this for a blank screen with no icons on it:

1. Restart your phone
2. A "Sim services" icon should appear.
3. Tap and hold the icon and move it to an empty page; stop it from pulsating by taping anywhere on the page.
4. Tap and hold the SIM services icon again, and move it back one page and immediately put it into a folder; stop it from pulsating by tapping anywhere in the folder.
5. The last page should now be blank.


That is it. It works every time for me and will persist until the phone is restarted.

Interesting thanks for sharing!

I want a dock mode other than bed side mode, I don't mind having a few things on my wallpaper (like clock) I just don't want to wake device to see the clock when it's sitting plugged in. Something like your trick is most useful if you have a way to keep the screen on.
