Did the call blocking options get expanded in OS 10.3.1? I want to block a specific number, and an shocked that I can't do this in 10.3.0. ATT wants to charge me $5 per month for this "advanced" feature. Not really interested in an app that needs restarted everytime I restart my phone and drains the battery.

I know in Power Tools app, and with a Z30 running 10.2.x, that that feature is there when the OS update drops for us "legacy" users, ie, Z10/Z30........

How do I use call blocking on 10.3.1?-img_20150217_114233.png
I scanned through the options and see about 10-15% of them are free too.

Why would and OS developer be interested in incorporating this feature? There is plenty enough apps for that. I will explain what I mean before people start jumping on me now - the whole reason of existence of apps is to enhance the abilities of your smartphone. If we will go the route of saying that BlackBerry needs to add that feature, then there is no stopping of what we want incorporated into the OS... Skype, Whatsapp, Guitar Tuner, CB app, etc... OS can give you some capabilities, the rest is third-party. Phone is for phonecalls and BlackBerry has no business in letting you block them. If you want that feature, then download the app and take a hit on battery (very minor usually) or just don't give your number up so easily...

These apps block "all" the calls...not some specific numbers.

I am not on 10.3.1 but I know that there might be something like that incorporated in the OS. In hub settings, hub management, block recent contacts.

I am using Buzz Off on my Z30 and it seems to be working pretty good. It has both a blacklist and whitelist to add individual numbers.

I download this app to try it.
Do you think it s normal that app need to have access to my contact (and suppress contacts), access to my bbm, access to my pictures, music, docs in my phone or my cloud, modify the notifications?

Quite normal to give access to your contacts.. it will allow the app to access them and let you choose which you want to block.

If you're not comfortable with any other access then just disallow it...

In Parental Controls you can at least block calls from numbers that are not in your contacts if that's any help.
