how to download movies in q10
What kind of "downloading" are you trying to do? Google Videos doesn't work with BB10, neither does Amazon Video. You can get the APK for Netflix for Android, but I don't think it supports downloading either. BlackBerry world no longer has a video section in BlackBerry World either... so, I think your options are pretty limited. There may be some streaming options like through YouTube, but not through an app. Otherwise, you may have to just load the video file onto your phone. Options for BB10 are scare, especially these days.
Google BitTorque, it's a torrent client for bb10 which can't be found in BlackBerry World.
Now you can download all the free as in freedom linux distros you've always wanted.
Why would you want to download movies on a Q10 with such limited screen area? Also, BlackBerry 10 is very limited in scope where apps and entertainment activities are concerned. Whilst your Q10 may be a remarkable device for most other (business-like) mobile activities, quite frankly, I don't think that it is the right device for downloading or watching movies. I would suggest you get a full touchscreen device, preferably, one running Android OS. Perhaps, you could give the DTEK50 or other similar device a try.
This is the app Huussi is referring to: http://m.crackberry.com/bittorque-na...der-rises-dead
With the HDMI output he can watch videos on any size screen.
It downloads files (and movies are files) just fine. And as another poster pointed out, you can use an HDMI cable (or Miracast) to output video to a bigger screen.
Whatever the case, the OP wants to do this so presumably it's the right device for him.

The "use BlackBerry for business, not play" argument is hackneyed at best.

The HDMI output (as well as Miracast) in the Q10 and Z10 (I still have one) have been excellent features but, unfortunately, with limited usefulness due to the lack of apps which eventually killed BlackBerry 10. There are alternative technologies, such as, Miracast and similar wireless features found in other mobile devices which don't require HDMI. In fact, most phone manufacturers don't use HDMI in their devices. However, if you prefer to use your Q10 's HDMI then you may not find much simple ways to download directly. Perhaps, you could try downloading first to another phone or PC then copying or transferring to the Q10.
When compared to other mobile devices, BlackBerry devices are definitely more business than entertainment, period. I'm saying this as a user who still use and prefer BlackBerry over the other brands. For instance, I often use my Classic when typing on my DTEK50 becomes frustrating over too many typos or when I need to make a very quick phone call. However, the reality is clearly what it is now. Google Android and Apple iOS are currently the dominating apps world players. I would certainly prefer to use BlackBerry 10 devices all the way because I really hate having to use other OS-based devices. Nevertheless, I simply use the tools that are more readily available to get things done quickly rather than waste time looking for limited resources or finding cumbersome work-arounds. Aside from that, I have no gripes whatsoever with anyone who chooses to do otherwise, to each his own way.
Actually when I used the Q10 for quite sometime viewing movies on the tram or in carpool enroute to work or home the screen size was never a bother.
There is a 3$ hdmi cable that can be plugged into the Q10 and tele. Download Vuze and Pirate Bay or Kickass Torrents and the OP has quite the entertainment media device.
