    Hello,

    After updating to 10.1.4xxx the phone lost all it SMS and some contacts seems to have gone missing .

    Can I just simply hook it up to Blackberry Link and click on restore (did a backup before software update)?

    Or does it have to be wiped, resintalled, and restored? (Hope not! I dont have time for this!!)

    Please clarify....just perform restore without a wipe.....or do a wipe and then restore?

    Although some here swear by it, you don't have to do a wipe. I've done it both ways without issues.

    1-3 hours is my experience. A 1 GB file should be on the quick end of things.
