    Default hiding folders in BB10

I have some private pictures that are for my eyes only. Does anyone know if you can hide folders in BB10? I can't find the option to anywhere.

Dropbox is amazing for this type of stuff. I have a ton of family photos and videos on there, and the best thing is, is usually within 5-10seconds of "buffering", you are able to scroll thru ALL the pictures as if they were stored right on your phone. It doesn't need to buffer each and every picture, and you don't need to download in order to view. It really is the best cloud solution i've found for pictures especially.

Yes. 4 digit passcode with the option to "Erase all Dropbox data from this device after 10 failed passcode attempts"

I'm lazy, sorry, but how much band width are you using to view your files on Dropbox? If you are not using wifi, that is.

Yah I just backed up my pictures folder on my laptop, then transferre the files I want to hide on drop box and erased them from the card for now. This sucks and make no sense for the new device to be less discreet or "secure" than the older ones. They HAVE to fix this. Probably my main gripe with the new phone so far.

I just viewed 30 pics in one of my files and I used 4MB on 3G.

Thank you for that clarification. Hmm, that's gonna eat through a capped data plan quite quickly if you have to do that too often.

Disappointing that this is not possible on the new phone but was on the old. It needs to be fixed ASAP.

I had the exact same dilemma! However unlike you I was not willing to delete those.. In Blackberry World there is an app I use which cost me £1.50 which is called "Hide my pictures" you literally go through your folders, tap the pictures you don't want to show up and poof. Then when you enter the application is displays them all for your viewing pleasure. Quite a decent way of doing it I suppose also I do prefer the old BBOS way of doing things. Only works for pictures, not videos. LOL

    Password protected too.
