This just started happening today. I'm on sprint with a Q10. I can make an initial phone call but cannot dial extension#s after that. As I dial the extension, the #s show on the screen, I hear the tone, but it's like the phone is not registering. This means I also cannot check my voice mail. This of course would start happening on a day when I am working from home, with no access to a land line. I have several work voicemails at this point that I cannot get into.

I have tried a restart, shutting down and starting, and a battery pull, and nothing. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be glad to hear them. I'm a little desperate right now. I'm going to cross-post in the sprint forums, although I don't think it's a carrier issue.

I also want to add that I have tried using the keypad, as well as the touchscreen, and neither work.

Try wiping the phone. If that doesn't work, likely a hardware issue.

Several hours later, I'm wiped and restored. Still can't dial. Argh. Looks like I'll be spending my evening at sprint.

Update: sprint customer care sent me to the store, where I waited 35 minutes to be informed that this is a "known issue" connected with sprint's updating their network to HD voice. Began yesterday around 9am and will continue for another 24-48 hours, at which time this issue will end. SO glad I spent several hours re-working my phone, and still waiting for my contacts to sync. All for a "known issue" that could have been communicated to customers ahead of time.
