I updated to 10.2.1.2021 ,my phone gets so unbelievably hot on charge and off charge,drains the battery incredibly quick. It's been 3 days since the update. I don't know what to do! I didn't install a leak, it was carrier pushed update. please help,this is frustrating!

Go Settings/App Manager/Device Monitor.
On the Battery and CPU tabs, see what is using all the resources.
If it is some app you installed, remove it and contact the author to see if there is a fix.
If it is a core system, advise what it is here.

Backup files( images and videos only) and do a security wipe ( may take hours) and reinstall app And your device is good as new.

+1....and sometimes doing the hard restart as well as turning on airplane mode for at least 5 minutes helps.

Thank you! The hard reset helped! Just once I had to do it, phone doesn't heat up anymore!

Hi,

I purchased a Z3 few days back. Its not even a week old, and it is observed that the mobile gets heated up heavily and battery drains quickly. I went through the thread above, and it is mentioned that doing a hard reset might help solve the problem.

So guys, could you please tell me how to do a hard reset on BBZ3?
Tried googling it, and it says remove battery.

I had updated the phone on the first day itself to latest BB OS . Is that cause of this???
