I installed the leak because i though the battery was going to be normal again by chaging my OS...the official OS from rogers was even worse that's why i loaded the leak
I'm on the official OS so I don't know what you are doing or what your device is doing but someone at BlackBerry needs to see this....

could it possibly be activesync trying to push your hotmail junk mail folder, i haven't used my hotmail account in like 4 years but i do remember getting hundreds of spam e mails with it. hotmail is known for its spam.

my suggestion is turn activesyno off on hotmail and see how things go from there, or just remove that account if its not a heavily used one

kinda looks as though your PIM is what is drawing power. just my 2cents. perhaps look at blaming something other than your phone. in my 10 plus years with blackberry and having had 25 plus different units i have yet to have any device issue. you will find it is often user error
Common. Does that mean Blackberry has never had a defective device? Be honest.

I'd say try the z30, I use my phone as an essential tool to run my business as well, and the z30 had made a dead phone a thing of the past for me. I can't explain what's going on with your z10 but assume it has something to do with your email settings either online or on your device because something is not right I use Gmail, icloud, and my business email, up to 6 email accounts, 1 set to sync every 30 mins and the rest every 4 hours. On my z10 I got 6-9 hours heavy-mild use, on z10 15+ after everything has settled.

then back to my original statement, try turning your hotmail active sync off or removing the account because there is soemthing goign on with your push services thats causing your battery drain, and i doubt a Z30 will help if you don't figure out what it is, especially is this has happened on 5 Z10s. the problem lies in the configuration of something

Absolutely agree with other posters about there being an issue with your account.

This kind of PIM drain is definitely not normal.

I would even suspect there could be some form of corrupt data linked to your email account. I would try the following to troubleshoot:

    1) Completely remove your email account from the device - then reboot. Now leave the device for 24 hours and see if this battery drain still occurs (do not add the account back on the device).

    2) If the above works, create a NEW account with your chosen email provider as a test - then add that account. Wait another 24 hours and monitor usage.

    3) If the above works, and battery life is good, you could try adding your old email account again, but disable contacts and calendar sync (email only). See if drain occurs. rinse and repeat for calendar, contacts to see which is causing the drain.

Let us know how you go.

Just for comparison's sake - my device has corporate exchange email connected, gmail, facebook, and twitter - and my PIM usage is 1.2%. I've been using my device heavily today, and battery has 83% remaining after 4 hours of use.

Hope you find your solution - I'm guessing it relates to your email account

    can I just add:

    1) Ensure you are using the original, genuine 1800mAh BlackBerry Battery for the device. Are you?
    2) Ensure you are using the original, genuine 5v, 750mA BlackBerry Charger for your device. Are you?

Just need to check those things - but it would indeed seem that "PIM" is causing the drain - refer my message above.

I go all day on my Z10. The only way to kill my battery quickly is if I play games on it with tons of graphics. That only happens if my nephews get their hands on it.

i use my phone a lot, both texting, syncing, i keep my brightness during daylight at max, i take a lot of pics, i check facebook, instagram, twitter often, i play games sometimes, i listen to music, hell i even turn on the hotspot from time to time, and i can still manage to get from 6 to 8 hours. depending on reception, cause if you travel a lot or live or work in a low reception area, it'll drain your battery like crazy.

One comment...note the battery graphs only show a percentage, not the actual mAH capacity. So just suppose the battery wasn't holding a normal charge...say 15 or 20% of what it should...so it charges quickly to the 20% of normal capacity...and discharges to zero in a short time. then the discharge rate and charge rate might be what he's seeing in the graphs. Is there any kind of battery calibration mode on these phones? My Windows OS has one for my laptop.
