Nothing works, won't send my contacts, prior emails, texts, calendar, zip. I have done everything BB explains and nothing will come over. If I can't use this for work tonight it's going back to the store. Very frustrated.

I don't have a Z10 yet but I believe you can by taking advantage of BlackBerry Protect. You backed up using that on your 9900?

I tried both. Downloaded BB Link then followed directions, still won't work. Tried everything I could find online in troubleshooting. Nothing. I am doing security wipe and if it won't work after i am going to return it. Should not be this difficult.

    Try this: http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...ts-z10-767033/

"The best work out, which I just used and worked out absolutely fine and quick is that pairing your 9900 with Z10 through Bluetooth, then from Bluetooth menu of 9900 select Z10 and there will be an option to transfer contacts, once clicked, all contacts will be transferred to Z10."

I just did it that way:

    - go to setup, device switch on your old device
    - save your data on memory card
    - put the memory card on your z10
    - setup, device switch, dump data from card, bingo.

For those having issues - BB Link won't transfer items that it thinks are synchronized online - mine wouldn't transfer calendar or contacts since I sync with Gmail. (Device switch on to a media card still didn't work). After the transfer to the Z10 in BB Link, pull down the details tab - anything with an asterisk beside it didn't transfer. In the BB10 accounts setup, make sure you have an account linked for calendars and contacts, then it will pull them.

The datacard process seems to be painfully slow.

The bluetooth method to transfer just the contacts from one phone to the other, worked like a charm.

But why can't this BT method be used to transfer calendar data? I have loads of info in my calendar on my old Torch and none of it was transferred over with the link software.

I used BB Link on my Win7-64 laptop to switch my data from my Torch 9860 to my Z10. Was all done in less than 10 minutes. I'm now using the Z10 and all my data came across but NOT MY CONTACTS AND CALENDAR INFO.

I tried using the mediacard transfer feature but it was only 6% done after half an hour.

    Really shi++y. Quite frustrating.

Turn off encryption on your 9900 then use BB Link. Worked for me.

raptorfan, thanks for the suggestion but I don't quite understand your instructions. Not sure what you mean "In the BB10 accounts setup, make sure you have an account linked for calendars and contacts".

    So wait a sec...

This new "Link" for BB10 won't allow a sync between Outlook calendar/contacts and the Z10???

... like old DM <-> BB9900 for outlook calendar entries and contacts?

Nope, it won't do anything except tsf music, photos, videos, documents. No option for sync with calendar, contacts, etc. It's pretty much useless to anyone in business who uses Outlook on their desktop as their primary organizer.
