I am trying to update my BlackBerry Z10 to the official 10.2.1 OS. The phone now has a leak of 10.2.1.1925.

I did a security wipe and attempted a reload to downgrade to a factory reset, following with an update to the new OS. However, once the downloading software update hits 98% I receive an error message saying,

An error has occurred while downloading software for your device. Please verify you internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists.

    What should I do?!

What on earth possessed you to "update" from 1925 to 1925? They are the same thing! Anyways, you should be able to run one of the autoloaders from the leaked OS sub forum to fix your device....

    pkcable,

Before the official 10.2.1 OS was released, I downloaded a leak, 10.2.1.1925 with radio .1926. Now that there is an official OS of 10.2.1, I'd like to install it. Reading the forums, the official OS radio is .1899. So every time I do a security wipe, I check if the radio has been changed.

I am fairly new at this, would you mind going step by step in order for me to recover my phone?

The links in that thread I supplied have the 1899 radio You need to download the proper one for your device, which model do you have? So you download the correct autoloader, and then you run it, then connect your device with the battery pulled out of it, but then put the battery back in, then let the autoloader do it's thing. DON'T touch it, it will take a good while up to 10 to 20 minutes to flash the OS on to your device. AFTER run the initial setup screens, then if you have a fairly recent backup, you can load that via BB Link, if not then just reload your apps via BB App World, and setup your emails on the device.

So, I downloaded the autoloader for STL00-4, then ran the file. Everything worked fine, and I was able to download the official OS update.

But now I'm getting a "Temporary Server Error" when setting up BBM.

Whats going on?! How do I fix this?

BBM was actually down earlier tonight for some people, BUT I believe it's ok now. Try connecting again.

Why a great response, leading OP through the fix lime that. It's responses like that which make CB the go to depot for the BlackBerry community.

    Kudos pkcable
