Hey Everyone,

This is a rather weird bug. Every time I send a message to a specific one of my contacts the conversation jumps all the way to the top. I send another and it jumps all the way to the bottom. It only happens with one contact and no one else, also only happens in BBM (whether it be in the hub or the actual app). I tried ending the conversation more than once but that also does not fix it. Also have tried to restart the phone and it always doesnt work.

Anyone have this is before and can offer me some help?

As a temporary fix, deleting chat history seems to fix this. Unfortunately this is really not an optimal solution. Is there a way i can notify bbry of this bug?

Because 'new' messages always goes to the top, if your time is set wrongly or your friend's time is wrong, advanced, messages goes to the top. Yes, its a weird bug of BB10.

No that doesnt seem to be the issue, both mine and my friend's time is set correctly.

No idea as mine doesn't do this ie jump to the top whenever I open a BBM conversation. Have u tried rebooting or doing a battery pull.

Quick but not the best fix is to delete your chat history

I have also tried reloading software and it has not worked.

I just started to have the same problem now too it jumps to the top. I just scroll out and scroll back and it goes to the bottom
But after it jumps to the top where the old messages are

I had initially clicked on "Save chat history" when I was setting the phone up, I figured that this was the cause of the problem. My girlfriend and I BBM like crazy, hundreds of BBM's/day and now it doesn't even store the entire chat history, it is deleting the oldest message every time I either receive or send a new one, and it also jumps to the top. I'd like to solve this issue with our having to delete my chat history, as I do scroll up on occasion.

Set your time zone correctly, and let your carrier set date and time.

Has anyone tried deleting and then re-adding the contact? I dont have the same problem but I think this could work.

hi all, this is a bug with BBM Chat history. It happens with those who you've talked to so much that it seems BBM can't handle the whole chat history. It ends up deleting the top message and always takes you back to the top when you or they enter a new line of text. it's incredibly annoying and happens all the time with those who you chat with the most (i dont know the specific limit that causes it but i had the same problem happen with my ex on two different Z10's that i had once we talked a lot).

hopefully BB fixes this and the rest of the horrible chat history implementation that BB has put into the Z10.

the only workaround here is that after you or they enter a new text, and it moves your screen up to the top of the chat, you just tap your finger on the text field and it will bring you back down.

this is such an annoying bug, especially when it's Blackberry's KEY APPLICATION for their OS. we got to deal with it until they fix it.
