- Hi,
Take a look at the following screen:
So... last night when i went to bed at ~ 3:40AM my battery was on 80% and about 120MB data left to use, today when i first picked up my Q10 it was completely without charge :/
So i plug the wall charger and i instantly saw two messages from my ISP saying that i used all my data plafond and that they automatically added an extra 60MB to use for today (1,50€). I don't know what happened.. i don't understand what caused this battery drain and this abnormal data usage... this never happened before. What may cause something like this?
I'm using the last official 10.2.1.
Thanks in advance06-28-14 09:07 AMLike 0 - Reset your router. See if that stops the data usage. Turn your phone off during the night and do a test and see if you are still using data.06-28-14 11:16 AMLike 0

I can only found a 10.2.0.53 bbm version without channels, i'm running 10.2.1.3247 OS, there is a better version of bbm for me to install?
thanks in advance07-01-14 02:28 PMLike 0 - Can you please post a FULL list of all applications installed?
Did you update any application then get this problem? Or has it been since the last OS update?
Posted via CB1007-01-14 03:46 PMLike 0 - I was playing with BBM stickers before i went to bed that night, i don't know what other apps were running. I did a security wipe next morning and i've been using the phone with the Data services turned off since that moment. My carrier will reset my internet plafond in a few hours and i'm scared that this can happen again. It must be BBM... i never saw that amount of battery drain caused by BBM before.07-01-14 04:13 PMLike 0

- That's the interesting point here, i've none channels subscribed.. but what could cause this if not some bug with the bbm channels? My carrier doesn't charge me for messaging with BBM, but if i'm browsing channels it will be charged.
My battery went from 80% to 0% in something like 1h40 hours with my phone standing next to me while i was sleeping.07-01-14 05:14 PMLike 0 - BBM and System are both equally very high(mine are normally a lot less). Have you checked you have the latest version of BBM? And not running a leaked version?
- After so long, does your screen dim? (settings->Display/ Screen timeout). I'd recommend having it at 30seconds.
- Have you got "Data Services While roaming" on Prompt? (Settings-> Network and connections-> Mobile Network). Mine is default on "Prompt" and not had problems.
- What android apps have you installed? (Internet issue).
Can you post a screenshot of what's on your CPU tab? Not directly after a reset. Might find the cause eventually for both in that tab.
Posted via CB1007-01-14 07:10 PMLike 0 - -I had the last version of BBM, i was running the last official update 10.2.1.3247 (OTA) and i had the 10.3.0.22 Browser.
-Screen timeout was 30seconds with 50% intensity.
-Data Services while roaming was on Prompt and i'm not close to the border.
-I had Instagram, Next Browser, Amazon, Amazon Appstore (I Believe none this apps were open that night).
Unfortunately i no longer have access to CPU tab cuz i performed a security wipe that morning when i noticed the occurrence, the only info i saved was the battery tab. I didn't remember to check the CPU tab.07-01-14 09:14 PMLike 0 - What I think happened;
-One of the applications used the internet(OR, you used the internet before hand, then you didn't realise that before you went to sleep)
-A problem with BBM, maybe you forgot to close it and left it open, but probably something todo with BBM channels.
Posted via CB1007-02-14 04:05 AMLike 0 - After looking at my device monitor I came along something strange, my standby had used some WI-FI, only 17.1kb, but it's still not right, some phones might be using more and that's after my phone being on standby for afew mins, so over night will be a good few MB.
Posted via CB1007-03-14 08:13 PMLike 0 - Hi! I'm having the same problem. My Q10 tryies to connect to stun.voip.blackberry.com at least 40 times per second (as you can see it below)
after the OS upgrade. the data plafond is almost over and the battery lasts 4 hours.
I have reset the phone, but the problem persists.
Q10 OS 10.2.1.2977
Any suggestions?

Installed netflix and Amazon app store and is still fine. Watched a few films. Fine.
Go out. Fine.
Send a text. Battery warming and system now stuck and an overheating cpu. Turned off/on. Still stuck.
Why!!!!!

I had a problem similar to this on my Blackberry Curve, it ended up being a certificate error, but I'm guessing it's not the cause this time, do you have MobileVOIP downloaded? I done a Google for "blackberry voip stun" it came up, if you remove it then re-download it, see if that fixes your problem.
Add me on BBM if your problem continues;
Pin:2B16D623, only add if your problem continues, contain crackberry in the request body, or I will reject!
Posted via CB1007-11-14 06:23 PMLike 0 - It's the Amazon app store. I just installed it few days ago and since then, my battery is draining like crazy. I believe that app store runs in the background. I installed ghost commander to shut it's notifications off and it helps a little.
