    What os link is trying to restore?
    If it's 10.3.1, well - anything below 10.3.2.500, I think, is blacklisted

    You can restore data without issue. Blacklist is only relevant if trying to install a prior OS over 10.3.2.

    This applies if you try to restore the phone from "dead" and not from the back-up.

    Also it might be that your back up is corrupted

    Correct me if i'm wrong, but if you try to restore a dead phone, link downloads os from BlackBerry.
