I had my Gmail set up on my Z10 using ActiveSync when I got my Z10. Work(ed) great. But I noticed I wasn't getting email delivered to my Z10 after the .85 update. When I go to accounts I get this red message under Gmail that says, "Not Connected - Account Invalid". Is ActiveSync gone now? Do I have to re-set up as IMAP?

Mine worked, but I deleted it and switched to IMAP anyways for the multiple calendar support. Perhaps Google is starting to be more strict with their terms and are not allowing active sync for you since you updated the OS? It's a good idea to switch to IMAP regardless, as Google has the right to stop active sync any time they want in the future.

I am using Gmail with ActiveSync and the update did not change my Gmail sync. It is working perfectly as it was before.

Gmail disabled the ability of free Gmail users to add a new account via Exchange ActiveSync officially on 2013-01-31, though the actual transition date was probably sometime in February.

If you have not already setup a device/account via EAS on one of Google's free services by now, you will no longer be able to do so.

Existing/already-setup devices will continue to work. Apparently they are referencing a device's GUID or something to make the distinction.

There have also been some reported bugs in the email implementation (outgoing SMTP headers apparently mangled) after the some people updated to the 10.0.10.85 update bundle, see this thread for details on that.
