    Hi,
I am using Gmail on my Z10. I have changed gmail password on web. Surprisingly, my gmail account on Z10 is not asking for new password / verification, have switched OFF and ON my Z10 many times with hope it will ask password verification for gmail, but seems gone case. Is it security flaw?

Do you have 2-factor authentication on your google account? If you do it won't matter if you changed your password because you have to use the manage application section to create a special password for the phone.

Yes I have secured my Z10 with phone password, also double stage verification for Gmail. No doubt both phone and gmail is secured at present. My worry is why Z10 is not asking for gmail password verification? It should give error prompt for re-entering new password. Infact, while exploring Gmail (Gtalk, email, contacts and calendar) account in account settings, didn't found "password" field along with "username" field. Whereas in case of hotmail email and work email, there is "update password" field along with "username/email" field.

Someone please help to identify the cause of this problem or such is by default?

Phone password itself doesn't matter. If you have the 2-factor authentication on like you say you do that's all that matters. It doesn't affect if you changed your account password or not because it doesn't use it. It specifically uses the 2-factor password only.

One small and easy question: Why "update password" field is not available in Gmail account settings on Z10 as it is in Hotmail and Work email account settings?

I've never searched for that option before so I'm not sure.

Once you link it up with an app or phone, it'll give that device with that ID access. Without the need for a password.
