    I've been thinking about this recently, and was wondering why doesn't BlackBerry implement a "continue call using Phone or BBM Voice" feature in OS10 similar to Android devices.

    Basically, if I want to call my friend who I have on my BBM list, if his number is somehow linked to his BBM ID or PIN and if he's available for a voice chat, offering this option would allow me to continue my call via BBM Voice instead of using the phone network. If the contact is not available for a voice chat, the option does not pop up.

    Because frankly, I don't get out of my way to go into BBM to check if my friend is available for a voice chat and this would make things much easier and would also help get Voice going!

    Does Android have this? It seems like it would rub carriers the wrong way.

    I'm pretty sure they do, but with Viber or something like that.

    Do what exactly? What I meant to say was when I use the phone dialer, and you hit the call button, if that contact has BBM and is available for BBM Voice, it should give us the option to call using BBM Voice. Is this what you thought we can do now?

    I would like to set up my speed dials to bbm voice instead of diamonds their number.


    Bbm voice is miles better quality than regular calls and I want to use that exclusively when calling certain contacts.

    BBM voice is terrific. BlackBerry needs to optimise this in any way it can. Of course carriers do not like it. Just like they did not like BBM to begin with.
