I love my Q10 and I am happy to see a solution for whatsapp for after 12/31/2016....but how is the Priv....

If you want to use whatsapp on Blackberry, just search for gb whatsapp. It works fine for me on my BlackBerry Passport. Okay, I can't share media with the app, but I came here in the first place to get a solution not to be able to send images with the 'modded' whatsapp. So the web whatsapp is perfect for me to send media again.

For years now I always used whatsapp+ or GB whatsapp, never the standard app.

No creo que sea una buena opci�n.
Yo baje una versi�n de whatsap de androi y la instale en mi Q5 funciona bien.
Lo unico es que cuando se lanza siempre sale ese mensaje de que depende de la play.
Creo que si los expertos trabajan se que lograran que funcione correctamente

I had to renew my contract with my cell phone provider and got a free cheap Android phone that I use as an Ipod on which I've installed WhatsApp but since I don't like to carry 2 devices around I've simply putted as my status: use SMS to reach me fast lol. So I always got my Classic on me and if the person knows how to read then she's going to SMS me to reach me fast. I will not let WhatsApp control me mouhahahahahahahahahah. That's my permanent solution so now I don't have to worry about WhatsApp being supported or not on BB10 or emulate the Android version or Disa: I CONTROL WHATSAPP

Whatsapp doesn't control you, BB10 does.

Pero Diana no necesites cambiar ahora. Usa el aplicaci�n normal de BBW por algunas meses y podemos regresar m�s tarde..

And why not simply uninstall the blackberry 10 version and install the whatsapp android version with Snap !?

Yesterday Dec.30th 2016. l downloaded and installed a 20.0 mbs WhatsApp update from Blackberry World and am happy to tell you all that the WhatsApp on my Z30 remains fully functional thanks to this update !! I have a fully functioning Android version as well on my Z30 that allows me to send pictures and videos as well but you need to side load WAA-Fixer for this. Hopefully the update works for you guys as well. Happy 2017 with WhatsApp !!!

Maybe things have changed with 'web.whatsapp.com' method, Browser does not display a QR code, Shows "Hello " and then characters and a lock.
Managed to pair with pc and send media via pc.

I know that they extended deadline for shutting down what's app for BlackBerry and nokia but one of my friend have an old iphone and even he got the massage that's what's app will stop working on 01.01.2017 he can still use it normally. What about that??

Hello,

I installed WhatsApp Android on a BB Passport. I did also install WAA Fixer. The solution worked fine and I was able to send pictures as well. Somewhere at the end of last year or at the beginning of this year something must have changed: I am not able to send pictures anymore. Did anyone of you experience the same problem?

Even as a BB10 developer. Time for me to jump ship to android. It can't continue like this, it becomes so inconvenient. Over all support will get less and less as time goes.
