I personally would want the FB messaging fixed. It takes an awful 15 mins to receive the other reply. Notifications though is oddly quicker.

Either fix that or introduce the FB Messenger to BB10.

Not a great answer, but until they fix this, you can paste the copied number into the browser and then insert tel: before the number and it will ask if you wish to place a call.

Where are you copying numbers from?
Numbers in email, text and all hub gets highlighted for tap to dial.

If you are copying from browser you can email to yourself or text to yourself.

What is horrible in BB10 is the horrible Facebook and Twitter apps. There is no reason whatsoever that the Z10 should have launched with these subpar apps. At the very least they should be the equivalent of their iOS and Android counterparts.
