I know there's a default apps option in 10.2 but it doesn't do much and needs to be expanded on.

Example: Using the CB10 app, I share links using BBM, instead of the link opening in the receiver's BB10 app, it opens in the Web browser.

    That needs to change.

You mean having an http link invoke an app rather than the browser?
You can register your app to open on specific uris bit using http could get very annoying for people.

Actually IIRC from reading the 10.2 API documentation a developer is not limited to just selecting on http. CB10 could select on http://www.crackberry.com

I was going to create a thread about this, It's a must feature!

For example, I got an invitation on LinkedIn, I clicked "view profile" and browser popped out, instead the actual LinkedIn app..

Please, consider that the default Maps app doesn't cover properly all geographies. Let us choose the default map app!

In the CB10 app settings you can choose the default for Web links - in app or in browser

The ability to choose default apps appears to be in the works. It's in 10.2.1 (and even 10.2.0) but not fully implemented yet.
