Default Facebook not opening from hub-Z10

I am running the official 10.2.1 on my Z10. Recently I have noticed that I can't open Facebook notifications from the hub. The screen goes dim, as if it is opening FB, but then comes back bright, still in the hub.
I have tried Re starting the hub-no effect.
I have tried uninstalling FB and reinstalling - temporary effect.
I have tried rebooting (all three methods ) - temporary effect.
If I open FB and check the notifications, I can open them just fine.
If I open and close the FB app, sometimes it will cure the problem.

Am I the only one seeing this? I did a search and came up empty...

I had the same issue. Went away after upgrading. Could try removing FB and restarting - I didn't care enough to look into it. But

Same here. I tried removing facebook account and reinstalling facebook. The issue comes back after a day or 2.

    So far I can't find a fix...

Same here, tried all methods with no success, even reloaded the 10.2.1 OS, it didn't help. We need a new update of the FB app, i've noticed that it also pushes notifications a lot slower with this update, something is super buggy here!

I've had this happen a few times.

I have resolved it by uninstalling some Android apps. I tend to sideload apps and not use them.

Phew! I was afraid I was the only one and that I would need to start wiping apps. If it is relatively common, I won't stress about it.

    Come on UPDATES!

Similar here. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Maybe you can try waiting a bit and see if it would eventually open. It resembles a similar bug in the 10.2.1055 leak.

Easy way to get it working again is to select Facebook from the hub menu, tap the status or compose button, then cancel the screen that comes up. You should then be able to switch views back and open any notifications without issue. I'm sure they'll fix it eventually, but in the mean time, this is a pretty reliable method to get it working again

upgrading did take it away; however how I delt with it was I would quick act like I was going to write a facebook message by hitting compose and then facebook. Then I would cancel and it would work with the facebook posts.

did you try restarting the hub? 4 swipes from right hand corner to the middle of screen while in the hub will restart it... worth a try?

Yes, that works and it's the same work around that has been used since that bug first appeared in the 10.2.1055 leak. The other workaround was to install the Facebook .bar files from the 10.2.1.845 build. The next step of the workaround was to not update to the new version of facebook from BlackBerry World after installing the older .bar files.

Yup. Tried that. I'll try the "compose" trick next time.

I too have been having the same problem. And I've sent an email to the dev email listed in BlackBerry World about it. Very annoying, since I use this feature for business. I appreciate reading about the work around, because up until now I've been modifying the account settings to get around the problem, and it's been a pain.

Amazing to read that this problem was in the leaked version and was allowed to continue into the official version, because judging by the BlackBerry World reviews this is a widespread problem. I also had some problems with LinkedIn after the update and had to reinstall it. Not impressed.

I'm having the problem too. I'm not receiving notifications on the lock screen, and when I load the app and click in notifications it just stalls. Weird. Was working a couple days ago.

It fixes the problem for a while but then it stops working again. There is a bug for sure.

No it won't. It will allow the Facebook hub notifications to be acted on for awhile and then they will fail again. I've restarted and reinstalled Facebook ad nauseum. I've also tried the compose and then cancel idea, but I can't even get a compose for Facebook screen to come up from which to cancel out of; it's just the same screen dimming for a few seconds and then back to bright, and nothing else happens. Only way I've found to work around is to change settings in accounts and then change them back again - a pain. This is a bad bug and needs fixing soon. More to the point, BlackBerry has got to start acknowledging these problems that customers are having - let them know they're working on it. This is a big issue judging by recent reviews for the Facebook app on BlackBerry World. Honestly, if you want to keep the current users of BlackBerry I think it would be best to engage them!

I have found when this happens it will usually open after about the 3rd try. After that it opens right away...for a while. Then back to same thing.

I hope this is a fb app bug and not os bug ad it is extremely annoying.
