    I can't seem to find an option to use Facebook chat on the z10. I thought it would be there as it's part of the PlayBook apply. Apart from this is love my z10.

    Any ideas or alternatives.

    How come it doesn't have chat?

    I mean, it's only logical to include it, all versions of FB on any BB device always had it (newer builds of FB on BB phones)

    Well, lots of people chiming in about their dislike of the FB app -- it actually looks pretty good but without chat I still have to use the browser to do Facebook. Nobody seems to have any answers about why this popular and, arguably, necessary feature is missing.

    I have noticed that it doesn't work on my Playbook about half the time so maybe if they were trying to reuse some of that code they decided that wasn't a good idea. Overall I love my new Z10 though!

    What I'm led to believe is usually, BlackBerry would write those apps, but this time, twitter, Facebook and some others wrote it themselves. So, that could be why it sucks...

    Yes, but messages are not in real time, they take forever to get in there unless you constantly refresh manually.

    You can side load the FB Messenger app. I have tried an actual chat on it yet, but it does appear to work on BB10 after it's ported.

    My messages come right to the hub in real time so the need for a separate app for that seems kind of redundant.

    The Hub FB messages only show text based messages. Fine for most times, but if someone sends you a link for a video it doesn't show up at all.
