    Hi all

    Facebook for blackberry hasn't been updated since ages. And it's still missing lots of features
    Also I don't want to use android version as I will lose huge level of my privacy as it requests permission on everything on the phone

    Is there any news about new native version?

    I've actually abandoned the FB app and just use the mobile site via the browser (m.facebook.com, I believe).

    Works well for the most part, saves aggravation.

    Actually, I'm on the same boat now. Since I reset my prefs on the regular site to Most Recent and then reinstalled the app, the News Feed is straightened out for me.

    I don't miss any postings and I don't get annoying ads or "Friend " suggestions.

    I don't even use the app anymore due to how much it sucks at the moment. I just use it to chat because the Hub is great. But even the Hub chat messes up at times. Either the messages are out of sync, refuses to refresh, refuses to load, you never even get some messages.

    My mum has no major with the FB app for BB problems either. Some minor bugs only, but the website has bugs as well (my dad also complains about the website on his laptop). She does wants a few more features in the near future in the app though.

    Try this Android Facebook version, 28.0.0.20.16. Just Google the version you'll find a download link. Works pretty good, and is a lot more full featured than the native app. Also you can try the Android Messenger version 25.0.0.17.14. It works well also. I use both of them on my phone, and have deleted the native app until someone at BlackBerry gets off their a$$ and updates it.

    I wouldn't. 1 Mobile is notorious for malware. Look on APK Mirror website.

    How good is this version for voice connection?

    I'm still using Viber to contact my buddy in the Philippines but it's always a distorted connection that fades in and out.

    I can't get voice calling to work. Everything else works though. It's not a big can for me because I have Skype to use to talk to anyone I know out of the Country, and unlimited calling within Canada.

    You can also use an older version of Android Facebook version 28.0.0.20.16, Messenger version 25.0.0.17.14. They work pretty good.
