Hi all- any suggestions for a practical external keyboard I can connect to my Z10?

I searched the forums and noticed someone that an OEM Playbook external keyboard will work, can anyone confirm that?

Any Bluetooth keyboard that does not require a USB dongle should work with the BlackBerry 10 smartphone family.

Z10 doesn't support USB OTG, required for the keyboard (or any other peripheral) to work. So bluetooth is your only choice.

Thanks. That looks a little small. I want something I can use to bang out some heavy input into some word documents. I'd like something portable that is similar to my laptop pc keyboard.

When I want a compact close to full keyboard experience then I use my PlayBook mini Bluetooth keyboard. But that solution isn't for everyone as they are rare and expensive.

Isn't the keyboard itself permanently attached to some sort of case which slots the PB, though? It looks that way too me when I looked in to it after se suggestions in another thread.

Nope. Slides right out. I use if for everything from my PlayBook, PC, to Android, to PS3.

Haha. Yes I have done it once just to see if it works and indeed it does. Not as practical of course and I just use a 20 foot long HDMI cable to the TV and hold the Q10 rather than using the keyboard.

Obviously I type better on my Q10

Absolutely. Works just as you think it would. Interesting way to "right click" is by doing a 2 finger tap on the trackpad. Even works in Windows.

Again though, these are rare and normally expensive. I was lucky and got mine sent in from Canada via a seller on the Canadian Amazon site that had 2 at the time for $60 or $70 with free shipping to the US. Myself and another forums member here snagged those up fast.

It might seem like a ton of $, but remember this will work on almost any computing device you have for years to come. I love mine.
