I've got a BlackBerry 10 email account question for everyone. I have two email accounts and one is solely for receiving emails, never sending, and the 2nd is used for both sending and receiving emails.

Is there a means to remove the option to select the first email account after clicking on Compose message, i.e. so that I can only select the correct email account to send a message from?

    Thanks!

Go to settings > Accounts. At the bottom of the screen, tap on Set Defaults. Set the account you want to send from as the default. That should do it.

Kind of.. if I go to the Hub and click on Compose, the first screen is to choose the account. Is there a means to skip this step or remove accounts from just this step?

Are both email accounts based on the same domain name? For example:

    [email protected]
    [email protected]

    Q10 (SQN100-3 : 10.3.2.158), Passport (SQW-100 : 10.3.1.1779)

Yes, they are. Does that make it more complicated?

It might make it easier and or open up some options for you. Is the domain your own or a corporate one or a 'free' one such as yahoo or hotmail etc?

    Q10 (SQN100-3 : 10.3.2.158), Passport (SQW-100 : 10.3.1.1779)

Why would that even matter? The option has to be on the phone, not the domain.

Depending on your email server you likely have at least a couple of simple options... Such as:

    - Set the email account you don't send from to "forward" any email sent to it, to your main account
    - Change the email account you don't send from to an "alias" of your main account

In both of the above you would have only your main email account actually setup on the BB. Therefore you couldn't accidently send from the wrong account.

If your email server is more sophisticated such Microsoft Exchange, you will have more ways to manage your situation.

PM me if you want to explore this further, I am in the biz.
