When 10.2.1 came out I was elated. But now I'm frustrated. I used snap to download android apk files and everything worked fine until after I clicked to install the app. I was stuck in definitely at the processing screen. This happened when I tried other methods of downloading apk files: online on my device and through my computer. What am I doing wrong?

Try a reboot. Did you install the latest version of Snap?

I am using the most up to date version of snap, and have performed a security wipe. It is still not working. What am I doing wrong? Is it because I downloaded an unlocked android runtime some time ago? I thought the security wipe would have taken care of that

I have having this problem. Everything went pretty well with installing Snap. I have all my permissions turned on for Snap. I have rebooted a few times. I still can't get the apps to install. Very frustrating.

Yes. I am on 10.2.1. That would be the first obvious questions though. What would be the next step? I can't figure out why this is isn't working.

I don't know if this helps anyone, but I just tried downloading the Amazon App store and when I run that apk it sticks at the processing screen as well. I am sure I am missing some little step.

Are you on the newest OS 2141? Or are you on the other, 1925. And when you updated to 1925, was it OTA from your provider? I've heard of the runtime giving people issues when they updated OTA. As if it didn't stick. Someone posted the new runtime bars from 2141. Maybe try side loading those.

Have you'll turned on 'installing apps' in app manager?

Yes, this is enabled but it still doesn't work. I suspect something is wrong with one of the bar files for 10.2.1 but don't know. Everything else works just fine. Used Sachesi to get 10.2.1 from Rogers 302/720 and installed that. Used snap and direct download form Amazon App Store, neither works. Permissions are setup, Developer mode is on.

I have the same problem I suspect you are doing things correctly but that perhaps when 10.2.1 was installed something didn't go right. I don't have a solution either. I may take a look at some the internal versions by using the chrome app. Hopefully the Snap developer will figure out what the problem is. I don't think the problem is with snap as if you manually download through the browser it still doesn't work.

this seems to happen when you update the android runtime player. i was installing apps with snap last night. This morning i ran some updates and noticed one of them being the android runtime app. after that updated snap is now broken.

update: i can now confirm that it is because of the android runtime update. The apps i downloaded yesterday do not run anymore. They just stay at a black screen. I notified the guy over at snap. The only thing i can suggest is that you downgrade your android runtime app. the update is not required if you aren't experiencing any problems with the older version of the runtime app. I'm going to downgrade mines right now and let you all know if that fixes it.

Same here. I was able to get it on the Q10 but I did that before the update yesterday. Was looking forward to Netflix on the Z10. I hope this gets fixed.

Dumb question and lazy search. How to downgrade the runtime?

well i did a search for it also and there isn't a real downgrade option. you have to restore through BB link. don't do a full restore but rather a custom one and restore only the apps. that's the only way to "downgrade"

Ok so after about two hours of waiting for my phone to wipe (figured it would be better to just do a complete wipe) snap works now and apps are installing. so as a note when you go through you app updates make sure the android runtime app is not selected as an update. hope this helps you guys out

I had to use the 10.2.1.3062 autoloader to reinstall the OS on my Z10. It's the same version as what I had directly from Bell when this was working OK.

I am unable to install Android apps from the latest version (2.0.0.2) of Snap. They hang on Processing when attempting to install. I have enabled the "Allow apps to be installed from other sources" feature.

    Any more tips?
